Seabourn Academy Graduates
Seabourn Corporate Training Manager Guillaume Colas sent us fantastic news that a group of Seabourn Academy cadets just completed and graduated from an extensive five-week training program on Seabourn Odyssey. The cadets trained for a variety of positions, from restaurant and bar waitstaff to housekeeping. (more…)

Seabourn Sojourn has reached an important maritime milestone, after completing four days of sea trials in the Mediterranean. She “stretched her legs” and took to the sea for the first time, sailing under her own propulsion power off the coast of Genoa, Italy. Sojourn has returned to the T. Mariotti shipyard, and the staff is putting the final touches on the vessel before she is delivered in May. (more…)

During a recent stop in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, Seabourn Odyssey staff pulled out all the stops and brought Seabourn’s distinct afternoon tea experience to guests in the Sinai desert. Staff set up a wide selection of teas, as well as an array of delicious hors d’oeuvres. Guests experienced authentic Bedouin hospitality and culture, and joined local nomads for formal tea at their campsite. With stunning views of the mountains and sand dunes, it was simply the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea!

Cheeseburgers are undoubtedly one of the most popular items on the Sky Grill menu. One day during the transatlantic crossing on Seabourn Legend, the food and beverage staff decided to cook up a special cheeseburger for lunch. And this certainly wasn’t your regular burger. It was a mega, extra large cheeseburger that used nearly 9 pounds of beef tenderloin, 45 slices of cheddar cheese, more than 2 pounds of tomatoes, and a pound of lettuce – all on a whopping sesame bun!! Barbara Poelmans
Since Seabourn Odyssey entered service last summer, the team of guest service specialists working at Seabourn Square has consistently received high ratings from guests for outstanding service. Seabourn realizes that not only is it important to deliver excellent service to guests, but it is equally as important to “wow” their fellow colleagues, as well. During the four-week Guest Services Specialists training program in Miami, several teambuilding activities are planned to build camaraderie among the 16 team members. In addition to studying the ins and outs of Seabourn Sojourn and the company, they are getting to know each other and learning how to build a good, solid working relationship. (more…)

Guest Services Specialists
Preparations for Seabourn Sojourn are not only taking place at the shipyard in Italy but at Seabourn’s Miami headquarters, as well. Last week, a team of 16 trainees arrived to the offices to prepare for their role as Guest Services Specialists, where they will manage the “business heart” of Sojourn and handle all guest inquiries at Seabourn Square.
