Captain Larsen Wants You … to Join Him in Antarctica!

published

Dear Fellow Traveler,

Beginning last November, I had the pleasure of guiding Seabourn Quest on her maiden voyages to Antarctica and South America. Having sailed these incredible waters before, I had an idea of the wonders that awaited us in this remote and spectacular region. Yet this experience managed to exceed my expectations in every way imaginable.

Making it even more special was the fact that I was able to share the journey with so many wonderful guests from all over the world. Together, we witnessed the majestic peaks of the Andes breaking through the early morning clouds. We cruised the deep-cut channels of Patagonia’s coastline, surrounded by thick forests and the shimmering waters of the Antarctic, with icy glaciers shining brilliantly all around us. We set foot on the Antarctic continent itself with a different landing each day, thankful as always for the amenable conditions. We saw countless gentoo, Adélie, king and chinstrap penguins, along with humpback whales, playful dolphins and an untold number of birds.

Throughout our voyage, the staff and crew of Seabourn Quest went above and beyond to craft an atmosphere of absolute elegance, taking every care to ensure the maximum comfort of our guests. We were also fortunate to be joined by an outstanding ensemble of special guest speakers and luminaries who shared their insights and helped us appreciate each new discovery. Finally, our skilled expedition team performed marvelously, organizing an incredible collection of landings and expertly guiding our guests to an up-close view of Antarctica’s splendid shores.

As we prepare to return to Antarctica and South America for another season, I would love nothing more than for you to join us and experience this one-of-a-kind voyage for yourself. I invite you to visit our website for more information on these remarkable sailings.

I look forward to welcoming you on board Seabourn Quest and sharing in this incredible journey with you.

Captain Bjarne Larsen

Master, Seabourn Quest
