Seabourn Odyssey recently completed its scheduled maintenance drydocking in Genoa, Italy, with several enhancements sure to delight guests. One of the most notable is the addition of four new Penthouse Spa Suites on Deck 10 above the spa, like those that were added to Seabourn Quest last year. Workers also replaced the Hydropool in the Spa at Seabourn with the Kneipp Walk – a soothing water-therapy system with alternating baths of cold and warm water that’s also a feature on Seabourn Quest and Seabourn Sojourn.
While the ship was in the drydock, the crew got a rare opportunity to visit the bottom of the hull. We’re happy to share a few photos with you!
Getting to the bottom: Seabourn Odyssey crewmembers donned hardhats and paid a visit to the newly repainted hull under the waterline of their ship.
Spic and span: The new super-slick bottom paint will help reduce drag and make the ship more efficient.
Looking Up: an unusual view of Odyssey’s “pointy end.”
