First Peek at Seabourn Quest
It was an exacting task to align the two pieces perfectly and then weld the seams to form one smooth and sleek hull. That task was finished last week and the entire hull was then towed back to San Giorgio di Nogaro, where they will begin adding the blocks of her superstructure. Once that phase is complete, Quest will be towed again all the way around the “boot” and up the coast of Italy to the Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, and the yard will begin to outfit the yacht for her arrival in June of 2011. Before you know it, she’ll be ready for the world to see!
Here is a great picture of Seabourn Quest arriving in San Giorgio. You can see her name proudly affixed on the bow. Even though she is in the early stages now, you can tell she is going to be a stunner!

Your new cruise ship looks quite impressive and June 2011 is not so far away any more.
We are not very much into cruises but as we hear more and more people having the time of their lives and meeting all sort of interesting people, we might just try to book a cruise sometime, just to see if we are missing something we shouldn’t. We haven’t been able to confirm that Seabourn Quest will cruise the Mediterranean, Greece and this region, or perhaps Asia… We are really getting enthusiastic.
When you are in a ship you want comfort and it seems that Seabourn Quest offers it in spades. And next to comfort privacy when you need it is another thing you want to be able to have in a cruise ship.

Yes this really is a stunning looking ship, I have been following Seabourn news for awhile now and just signed up for seamail and looking forward to the special offers. This is a absolute dream of a ship love the picture from San Giorgio.

Amazing how the ship is put together piece by piece in different locations. I am sure it is going to be beautiful when finished. Trips on it will be a memory maker for many people.

I did not realize how much was involved in making a ship or that it was manufactured in pieces and assembled in another place.
This is going to be a ship that will make memories that last a life time. I would not mind being one of those first ones traveling on her.
