Odyssey Blog Correspondents
Seabourn has a team stationed around the world to keep us all updated on the latest Odyssey news. We would like to introduce two Odyssey Blog Correspondents today.
Neil Carney joined Seabourn Pride at the beginning of 2007 and is currently stationed at the Mariotti yard, where Seabourn Odyssey is being built (He’s the one who sent us the picture of Odyssey’s propellers!) Neil’s career as Chief Engineer has brought him to many interesting parts of the world as well as many prestigious cruise ships. He temporarily strayed from the cruise industry for a short time and worked in both the deep sea and offshore marine telecom cable sectors; however, he was drawn back to the cruise industry in 2003. We are happy to have Neil as a Blog Correspondent, and look forward to hearing the latest updates from the Odyssey build.
Michelle Roberts joined Seabourn in 2005 as Executive Housekeeper on Seabourn Legend and formerly worked as a stewardess on Seabourn Pride. She is currently busy setting up the Housekeeping Department on Seabourn Odyssey which involves creating schedules for laundry operations, the Uniform program and even the onboard floral operations. Michelle also is responsible for creating the Odyssey Owner Supply List. What is that, you ask? It’s an overwhelmingly detailed account of over 3500 onboard items that the ship needs to operate – from knives and forks to bar glasses to bath rugs. Our esteemed Housekeeping team ensures Seabourn’s impeccable standards are maintained on all Seabourn sisters.
In the coming weeks, we will continue to introduce our Odyssey Blog Correspondents who will bring news you can only hear right here. So stay tuned, and continue to give us the great feedback we enjoy after each post.
