Culinary Travel Awards 2013 Survey Includes Chefs, Editors, Travel Advisors, More
A distinguished panel of culinary and travel experts polled by the editors of Saveur magazine has rated Seabourn as the “Best Culinary Cruise Line” in the magazine’s Culinary Travel Awards 2013. The diverse “Experts’ Choice” panel included high-profile chefs Daniel Boulud, Todd English and Lorena Garcia, restaurateurs Marco and Mauro Maccioni and actress and Cooking Channel star Debi Mazar and her husband Gabriele Corcos. Rounding out the 15-person panel are successful culinary and travel journalists, editors, and photographers.
In announcing the award, the magazine noted that Seabourn “…stands out for its focus on exceptional ingredients,” and said its “…expertly designed menus include regionally inspired dishes, well-sourced ingredients, and a notable commitment to sourcing excellent wines and spirits to go with them.”
Seabourn President Richard D. Meadows said, “Saveur’s Culinary Travel Award 2013 is a terrific honor for us. These renowned experts are uniquely capable of measuring our cuisine against the best the world has to offer, and their acknowledgment is tremendously gratifying for our culinary executives and onboard staff.”
The award is set to be presented at a special event in New York on November 19, 2013.
