We’re only one month away from the launch of Sojourn and there is a great buzz in the air here at Seabourn! We are in the midst of finalizing plans for the inaugural festivities in London while workers at the shipyard are putting the finishing touches on the yacht. We know many of you are just as excited as we are to see her. The debut is right around the corner, but in the meantime, here are some new construction photos of Sojourn. (more…)

In about three months, Seabourn Sojourn will be introduced to the world, and hundreds of guests will come on board and enjoy Seabourn’s highly-acclaimed cuisine – whether it’s breakfast in the Colonnade or a gourmet dining experience in The Restaurant. Staff at the shipyard is working tirelessly to make sure Sojourn’s dining rooms will be top-notch, and excellent progress is being made in both the Colonnade and the Restaurant. (more…)

Staff and workers at the T. Mariotti shipyards in Genoa, Italy, heard a new sound today as the Main Engine Number Three on Seabourn Sojourn was started for the first time. There is a great buzz in the air – and not just because of the sound coming from the engine – and it was a special moment to see the yacht come to life. (You may recall Chief Engineer Neil Carney on Odyssey compared it to a heartbeat.) (more…)

Raoul Jack sent along a few more shots of Seabourn Sojourn alongside the fitting-out dock at the shipyard in Genoa. It was obviously a rather gray day, but we can get a good look at her sleek shape, which is looking lovely already, even without her coat of paint. (more…)

Seabourn Sojourn at Nogaro
Seabourn’s second new yacht, Seabourn Sojourn, has been growing at San Giorgio di Nogaro in a process pretty similar to the one we tracked for Seabourn Odyssey. The two halves of her hull were formed and then floated down to Rijeka in Croatia where they were joined together into one sleek piece. That is an amazing feat! (more…)

Seabourn Sojourn
As Seabourn Odyssey is being prepared for her maiden Voyage in just a few short weeks, the second sister is also “coming of age” over at San Giorgio di Nogaro. If you recall, the hull segments are built in two halves and then set on barges and taken to a place called Rijeka in Croatia where they can be joined into one sleek hull. This week, the front half of Seabourn Sojourn’s hull was finished and carefully loaded onto a semi-submersible barge for the trip to Rijeka. (more…)
