Let’s say you are on a cruise. As you relax casually on a chaise longue (French for “long chair,”) you think to yourself, “I would really like to get a massage….maybe a facial.” Now let’s say you are aboard Seabourn Odyssey, and the same thought comes to mind. You venture over to The Spa at Seabourn Odyssey and suddenly discover 11,400 square feet (spanning two decks) of facilities and amenities to satisfy your cravings. You also have a staff of 13 experts ready to put their specialized skills to work.
So let’s talk about the details a little…the good stuff. Seven private treatment rooms will include amazing ocean views. A couples’ treatment room will allow you to enjoy private spa treatments with your partner. A separate spa deck located above the main spa area provides a secluded spot for two alfresco villas complete with dining areas, bathing areas and wraparound terraces. Luxurious enough?
Have you ever experienced body wrap? Well, if you have, you probably weren’t lying weightless at the time. One Seabourn Odyssey spa treatment room will include an actual dry float bed that envelops tired and achy bodies in a warm cocoon of relaxation once the body wrap ingredients are applied. The experience is akin to a heated water bed, but dry.
Ladies, if you enjoy getting manicures and blowouts, the full-service salon will feature a nail bar, two pedicure stations and three styling stations.
The Hydrotherapy Area is a great way to start or finish the Seabourn Spa experience. Check out the picture with the heated loungers and a big hydrotherapy pool. This area also promises great privacy – kind of like a peaceful outdoor oasis.
Operated by Steiner Transocean, Ltd., The Spa at Seabourn Odyssey will be the largest spa facility ever to grace a luxury cruise vessel. If this doesn’t satisfy your curiosity, just wait until next time when we talk about the fitness center. Questions? Just let us know…
