New Seabourn Odyssey Creates Big Buzz

Seabourn is once again creating big buzz among luxury-loving cruisers. Why so much excitement? The Yachts of Seabourn are introducing a new family member – the ultra-luxe Seabourn Odyssey.
Odyssey is:

• The first new luxury vessel to launch in over six years
• The first new Seabourn yacht in over 15 years
• The only truly intimate new luxury vessel being planned by anybody
• The first Seabourn vessel with verandas on nearly all suites (90%!)

When Seabourn Odyssey launches in June of 2009, it will join three of the most celebrated cruising vessels ever created, the award-winning Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend. For those of you who are new to Seabourn, below are just a few details on what makes a Seabourn yachting experience unique:

• Spacious, ocean-view suite accommodations
• Highly personalized service with nearly one staff member per guest, and no tipping
• Luxurious amenities and services combined with a friendly, relaxed ambiance
• All-inclusive value including complimentary open bars and open-seating restaurants

Seabourn wants to hear from you. What would you like to know about Odyssey? Does it have an award-winning restaurant with a famous chef-designed menu? Absolutely. World-class spa and fitness center? Definitely. We encourage you to leave comments below and become an active participant in the Odyssey pre-launch dialogue. Twice a week, we will blog about the build, the amenities, the services…even the vessel specifications. Please let us know what you would like to read about, and we will be happy to fill you in. Bon voyage for now!

Looking forward to the Odyssey. Can you elaborate on some of the unique excursions in some of the locations that will be available? What are the onboard connectivity (cell and Internet) options?

The personal service of a small ship has always been extremely important for us. Now you build new, more modern but larger ships, and hope that you will work extra hard to make sure that staff selection, training, satisfaction and retention maintains the high standard normally only found on smaller ships.

    Congratulations on the new blog!

Seabourn is not only going to have the most advanced, most luxurious, ships at sea, it has found a great way to improve its communication with its guests (past, present and future)!

    Very Cool.

I love cruising on Seabourne…the best cruising experience I have ever had!
Where will the Odyssey be cruising in it’s first year?
    Thank you and best wishes!

Is there anyone that will answer all the questions above? Why creating a blog with open space for discussions when there’s no answer from the webmaster…

Cruise on Seabourne has definitely be the best I have experienced.
I cannot wait for another experience. The most important would be to tell us which itinerary the Odyssey is likely to follow.
That information will give us the season or the month we will take our holiday and enjoy once more our time on the Seabourne.
    Thank you in advance,
    Good Luck!
