Preparations for Seabourn Sojourn are not only taking place at the shipyard in Italy but at Seabourn’s Miami headquarters, as well. Last week, a team of 16 trainees arrived to the offices to prepare for their role as Guest Services Specialists, where they will manage the “business heart” of Sojourn and handle all guest inquiries at Seabourn Square.
The group is undergoing a four-week extensive training program that will teach them everything they need to know about Sojourn, their responsibilities, procedures and protocols, and skills needed to ensure that they “wow” each and every guest during a cruise. In addition to daily classes, they are also participating in a number of teambuilding sessions to build the camaraderie among the team.
The training program was designed by Barbara Poelmans, Seabourn’s hotel operations coordinator. We will introduce you to Barbara, as well as a couple of the trainees, in future blog posts.
